Hanna aged 4 played with her dolls, rolled in the grass and ran barefoot in the park.
She was the sunshine to those who met and knew her. She was pure joy to all.
Bedtime came and Hanna didn’t want to go to sleep.
Night after night she resisted as if troubled by the shadows of the night.
Her parents tried to talk and plead with her. They tried to cajole her and at times admonish her but to no avail.
Hanna wanted the constant light and not the dark.
She wanted the light of the day and not the dark shadows of yester year.
The joyous and playful child did not want the days of horror she brought in from her last life cycle. That was clear to those who could “see”.
It was soon to be that her mother’s kisses, hugs and loving heart brought this child peace and a good night’s sleep. The house was once again a delight.
Yes, love was the healer of the dark.
