Earth is the primary essence of life
It gives birth and delight
It grounds, replenishes and nourishes at its height
Oranges in Winter, watermelons in Summer
Mushrooms of all kinds when the time is right
Look around and see more wonder
Trees, plants, flowers and animals in sight
All peeking to be seen and heard
The message is to stay still and learn
The colours of the rainbow across the fields
Wanting all to feel and touch what is real
Earth as mother wants to protect from fear
She coaxes and cajoles to adhere
She teaches the balance of life – peace, harmony and love
