A day of heat is a day to beat
We run away to keep cool and stay in the shade
Yet it is the bright ball of fire that keeps us alive and well
Our energy is amazing when we interact with this light of all
The sun we sit in, the sun that dries our clothes,
is the same sun we worship and wait for its daily call
Sunrise and sunset beckon us to be alert, awake to the day/ night ahead
The sun gives us warmth, heat and fire in order to sustain our existence
Looking up, looking down, the rays of the sun are all around.
The plants and animals tell us the sun is out
and that we all can be part of this life force delight
